IMESTIA-PRESTAREST manages multiple software applications that handle the management of its various departments. While these applications have been functional for many years, they have encountered issues of slowness and performance that have impacted the work of users.
Project Context
In order to optimize the performance of its information system and identify potential security vulnerabilities, IMESTIA-Prestarest has chosen to conduct a comprehensive IT audit. To achieve this, the company has enlisted the services of a consulting agency, tasked with collaborating with a development agency to successfully carry out this audit project.
The primary objective was to obtain a clear and objective view of the state of the information systems, thereby enabling informed decisions to be made regarding optimization and security.
Proposed Solution
Euro Tech Conseil was tasked with verifying the quality of all software within the client’s IT solution. Attention was particularly focused on key aspects such as code quality, comment density, code coverage, code duplication, number of parameters and variables, coding rule violations, error handling, log management, version control, adherence to good algorithmic practices, ergonomics, database, architecture, and security.
Result
The IT audit verified the compliance of the software with current standards and quality norms. It also identified potential vulnerabilities or security loopholes that could be exploited by malicious actors. In addition to this, recommendations were made to enhance the performance, security, and quality of the examined software. This process enabled IMESTIA-Prestarest to prepare for future challenges with confidence and efficiency.
